What others have to say...

“Jason Sullivan is a very talented musician with a professional attitude and work ethic to match. In an industry that can be quite difficult and often disingenuous, Sulli remains forthright, driven, and a pleasure to collaborate with. The groove factor is high, the work ethic strong- this combination makes things happen

"i am a man that has endured a nice career laying down grooves for many great artists (Foreigner, Cher, Pink, Velvet Revolver, Billy Idol, etc) and i think jason sullivan is one of great young drummers on the scene today. he is quite versatile, has some intriguing chops and most importantly lays down an amazing groove. jason is also a great guy with whom i could imagine spending many months on a tour bus; that is saying a lot!"

"my name is terry fator, and i am the founder and leader of the prominent show band TEXAS the Band and winner of Americ's Got Talent, Season 1.  For 13 years we have been the top touring band at fairs across the nation including the Wisconsin State Fair, the Minnesota State Fair and the Texas State Fair to name only a few.  we have also performed for top corporations such as AT&T, Nintendo and many other major companies.  in those 13 years we have kept the same core of performers on the front of the stage.  however, we have been through our share of drummers.  most were unbelievable flakes, as i'm sure you know well if you have anything to do with the music business.  but in 2000 i found a drummer who truly personifies professionalism and a good attitude.  his name is jason sullivan, and he is one of the hardest working musicians i have met in my professional career.  he constantly practices to improve himself as a drummer, in spite of the fact that he is already far superior to the vast majority of drummers in the country.  his ability to "carry the groove" is unparalleled.  anyone who knows music would be impressed with his ability and professionalism.  if anyone is considering him for employment, you will be very pleased with his work ethic and look."

I first met Jason in April, 2002 when he came to Bermuda to play drums with my band, the Kennel Boys in the Oasis club for three weeks. We didn’t have much preparation time but he hit the ground running.  He played great, was reliable, consistent and a pleasure to work with.  I believe the best musicians are the ones who are also great people and Jason definitely fits into that category.  Perhaps another time we will do this again someday. I hope so and I wish Jason all the best in all his future endeavours.  Keep on rockin!

"as a professional musician who has been in the business for over 35 years i recognize jason sullivan to be a very talented, dedicated and driven musician.  i have had the pleasure of working with jason on a variety of projects including the SEVENTH RIZE cd's, "Visceral Rock" and "Full Moon".  the guy plays with serious velocity, has a mile-wide pocket and shows up knowing every detail of every arrangement from memory.  in this day and age of "cut and paste" drum tracks, it's refreshing to just hit the record button and watch this powerlifting drummer smash and bash through killer takes in complete passes.  his drumming displays a distinct sense of groove and use of space that might call to mind the great John Bonham in its brutal simplicity.  but that would ultimately be an unfair comparison.  after all, Bonham never had a 450 bench press!  all in all, jason is an exceptional studio player and live performer with unlimited potential."

"essential to any educational program is the skill of those who we trust to teach.  jason sullivan brings a wealth of information and valuable experience.  jason is a proven player, from recording with his own projects, to touring the US with nationally known acts, there is no arguing his musical prowess.  he is an endorsee for several leading percussion manufacturers, including Aquarian Drumheads, Sonor Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Peavey Electronics and Ahead Drumsticks, as well as long time friend and collaborator of Bobby Rock, one of the world's most recognized players, and in the top 5 of clinicians working today.  jason's dedication to fully giving his life to his music is evident and a valuable tool, and a testament to his hard work as an educator.  Caldwell Music (Brook Mays, Inc.) is more than proud to support this gentlemen in his endeavors, as well as their students in any capacity.  his role in this world as an educator, while often overlooked, will never go unnoticed by those who see the benefits of music education, and we at Caldwell Music see these benefits all to clearly."
